Las Vegas Fantasy Football Draft Party Contest

Yes, it is that time of year again - time for fantasy football! I've already received invitations for two draft parties in the coming weeks. What about you? How about holding your draft party in the mother of all draft party locations?

Here's the deal, you can win a $250 gift card for Southwest Airlines. Use it to fly in and have your fantasy football draft party in Las Vegas! What better place is there to hold one?

Las Vegas is an awesome spot for sports fans and an exceptionally great spot to have a fantasy draft party. Heck, why not make a whole weekend out of it? This is your chance to put $250 toward that!

Here's what you have to do: leave a comment as to why Las Vegas is the perfect spot to have your fantasy football draft party. Please keep it clean (you know, leave that stuff IN Las Vegas) and be as creative as possible. Leave your comment by Friday, August 28 at midnight PST. A winner will be chosen and announced on the post appearing Monday, August 31.

Pretty simple, isn't it? Just plan your party, leave a witty comment, and win your transportation there in the form of a $250 Southwest Airlines gift card. Make sure that you have a valid email address and please do not leave links or spam in the comments. Any spam or embedded links will be taken out of consideration. You should also be of legal age to enjoy Las Vegas to enter.

Good luck and let's hear those comments.

Well, besides the glaringly obvious reasons I bet if you sat in the right place you could ask just about anyone walking by for advice on your next pick.

Apryl,

So I guess my story about a hooker, a football and a monkey cannot be told here...

Okay, anyway, I'm booking a large suite and having 17 chairs and a huge table set up. My closest 17 friends will be there and one of them will be the moderator for the fantasy draft party. I will be playing golf at one of the many great courses out there.

When I return, I'll play a little craps and retire to the suite, which by the way is being paid for by my 17 friends (they don't know it yet) and I have charged all meals, drinks, golf, limo's and hookers to the room also.

Also, I got a round trip tik from Baltimore to Vegas for $189. Where should I send the change from the $250..??

I love contests. I've never won, but I have a blast...

I would love to go to Vegas. Come on, anywhere is better than Fargo for a Fantasy Football draft party, right? Since I have to put up with Favre joining my team (I'm from Minneapolis), a trip to Vegas just might make up for it!!

10 people walk into the skybox at the sports book in the MGM Grand. There are drinks waiting and a white board that is ready. We all pull out our laptops we are just minutes away from our NFL FF draft. There are pre-season games playing on the big screens in the sports book we are all stoked. These are not my friend they are my competition and this is Vegas. Show girls, celebrities, jackpots and sports galore. This is the best place on earth to hold a Fantasy Football Draft Party, because it is a party in Vegas. Throughout the draft we are screaming at each other, trades are flying around the clock is ticking for each pick. What are the injury reports? What have the players been doing during the lockout? What rookie can I get that will have a breakout rookie year? Who is the sneak player? There is always a sneak player that shines in the season that looks just so so in the FF daft. I want that player but who? Did I get some good running backs? Will I get Manning, Brady or Rivers for my star QB? The clock is still ticking. Hours later the picks are made and trades are done for now. My team is set and the season will soon begin. For now we all go clubbing – it’s Vegas! A couple of days later we all say our good byes and part ways for home. In a few weeks the real fun starts and we all have the stories of our draft party weekend to share while we give each other crap because our star QB has fumbled too many times and our running back has only averaged 2 yards a carry. I love Fantasy Football and Las Vegas really is the best place to hold your draft.
