Sometimes I Feel Like A Ninja
* WARNING * If you're offended by the F word don't play today's video
No I actually don't ever feel like a ninja but I woke up with Die Antwoord in my head and therefore, the title. If you don't get it don't bother, it isn't that important.
At any rate, I just finished 30 minutes on the stationary bike and I'm off to get my juice (fresh carrot, beet, celery, and orange that was made on the spot).
It's getting warmer, the rougher currents are calming down, and I'm ready for some surfing this weekend! Woo!
Have a great weekend and please excuse my silly, seemingly pointless post today. Everyone is allowed to be a little weird every so often, right?
P.S. While you're here, why don't you click on the new little ad for Photo Ball Marker that you see in my sidebar. It's a cool gift for dad, mom, your favorite golfer, or even yourself. Go ahead, don't be shy!

Off Topic - Pay It Forward
Dear Readers,
I have a confession to make.
I am one of those corny people that still has hope in humankind.
I believe in being part of the solution, not part of the problem. I believe that we all benefit when those around us are doing well. I believe in giving someone else credit for what I've done. I believe in trying to leave things in a better condition than I found them. I like to participate in random acts of kindness and to pay it forward.
Last night I had to pick up some groceries after a long day in the office. I was in that daze that happens when you are picking up dinner at 9:00 pm. I was moving my cart down the aisle when I nearly ran into another shopper. She stopped me and asked me for help. Nearly crying as she told me about her boys and I saw that her basket had only generic rice, beans, oats, and bread. My immediate reaction was to give her a hug and tell her that its tough for everyone right now. She burst into tears and told me that even if I couldn't help her with her groceries that I had already helped her enough. Usually, I don't carry any cash but I just happened to have a $10 and I gave it to her.
Sure, she may have been feeding me a line. I like to think that my many years of sales and marketing experience allow me to get a fairly decent read on people. In addition, when you grow up in the "bad" part of town you tend to recognize other poor folks. At any rate, it really doesn't matter.
I did the right thing.
I can look in the mirror and say that I did my best to leave things better than I found them.
If she did the wrong thing, she's got to live with that. Plus, if she's taking that much energy to be that convincing then she deserves my $10 even if she didn't really need it.
My conscious is clear.
Have a great weekend. How about trying to pass on some goodwill while you're at it?
Sincerely,
Still Hopeful About Humanity

Contemplating Change
For the last few months I've been thinking about shaking things up around here a bit. Nothing drastic, but some redesign and maybe some format changes. I'm not quite sure. I'm not talking a shakeup where I don't cover sports any longer. That would just be crazy.
Next month will be the two year anniversary of this blog. I wonder if I should just not fix what isn't broken. Maybe I don't see what's broken and it does need fixing? I'm not sure yet.
I've been really, really busy otherwise so I haven't been able to dedicate the time to do some investigating.
I've asked before, so I'll ask again - how about some feedback? You can leave me a comment or an email but let me know what you like and don't like. I'm always interested in what readers suggest.
Let's hear it!

I Have Nothing Exciting To Say Today
Seriously, I started writing some witty post for your reading pleasure and it just wasn't coming out right. I thought of doing "best of" like Vince or talking about great gifts like Heather but I am just not feeling it today.
Instead, I found a video that has one of my favorite silly mascot dances along with some other goodies. I just never tire of this!
I know, I'm dull - so here's a very cool link from Surfer Magazine with a slideshow of the surf on the East Coast this month. Brr! I thought 58 degree water and 65 degree air was cold. I don't think I could walk through snow to get to the beach and then jump in! Then again...
Happy Tuesday!
