Contemplating Change

For the last few months I've been thinking about shaking things up around here a bit. Nothing drastic, but some redesign and maybe some format changes. I'm not quite sure. I'm not talking a shakeup where I don't cover sports any longer. That would just be crazy.

Next month will be the two year anniversary of this blog. I wonder if I should just not fix what isn't broken. Maybe I don't see what's broken and it does need fixing? I'm not sure yet.

I've been really, really busy otherwise so I haven't been able to dedicate the time to do some investigating.

I've asked before, so I'll ask again - how about some feedback? You can leave me a comment or an email but let me know what you like and don't like. I'm always interested in what readers suggest.

Let's hear it!

Perhaps it's just a matter of comfort, but I think the site is fine as is. It's pretty easy to find things, etc.

Every now and then, I think we all get the urge to dress things up. If you want to try some different color schemes or something, I'd say go ahead; just remember that simplicity and ease of use is more important to most users than being slick but harder to use.

Thanks Mike! I think I may just keep the status quo...

I agree with Mike. I like it. I thought about changing too, but I think I'm sticking with what I got.

I do love the cleanness of your page.

Thanks Heather! You guys are right, I shouldn't fix what is not broken.

I get the feeling every so often that I should change and then it passes!

AD,
No one has commented, but I have changed my templates and formats numerous times in the past 10 months. Things weren't 'wrong', but they seemed stale and I felt a change, any change. would help.

The important thing is your 'stuff' is great. Keep scribbling, change what you want and everything will continue to work...

Thanks Vince,
I notice your changes - I like when you experiment. It's part of your charm!

On another note, I think I may have found your break...you know...the one I am going to name after you!

Please don't make it a 'wimpy' break.

We have no wimpy breaks here!
