Basketball is Everywhere

WNBA superstar Candace Parker and her NBA husband Shelden Williams welcomed a baby girl into the world on Wednesday. While time and measurement details are readily available, the couple has decided to keep the name private for the time being. Candace will reportedly rejoin the Sparks this season after she is cleared by physicians. I wonder if the baby already has colleges interested?

Speaking of the season, the WNBA is hyping up their new season with their "Expect Great" ad campaign. Here in Los Angeles, the Sparks will host the Detroit Shock on June 6th for the home opener. You can get ticketing information for the Sparks and every other team here. The Sparks have a special on Wednesdays during the season where you can get a ticket in the red section (good seats) for only $35.

And in the NBA we have some decisive games coming up. If things go the way I would prefer as a fan, the Lakers will win at home against the Rockets to advance and the Magic will crush the Celtics in Boston this weekend. Keep your fingers crossed! Go Lakers! Go Magic!
