A Cricket First: Katharine in the UK sent me a great story about the cricketer Claire Taylor. She's become the first woman to to be named one of the five Wisden Cricketers of the Year:
"The 33-year-old from Berkshire was the World Cup player of the tournament, scoring 324 runs at an average of 64.
"It's a huge honour to join this amazing list," she told BBC Sport.
England seamer James Anderson, Durham captain Dale Benkenstein and South Africans Mark Boucher and Neil McKenzie are the other players to be recognised.
The historic edition of the famous Wisden Almanack is the 146th, and the coveted awards have been in existence for 120 years."

Riding The Wave: I just wanted to remind everyone that in addition to finding exclusive Southern California Breakers content on this site the Riding The Wave blog on the Breakers page will have everything in one spot. There you'll find every Southern California Breakers story that has been published since last season. In addition, I'll be adding exclusive Breakers video to my YouTube channel throughout the season. Also, I'll be providing some commentary and whatever else they'll have me for on the Women's Football Talk broadcasts during the season. Stay tuned for more details.
