Tired of the East Coast Bias

In case you didn't notice, I would like to see the Tampa Bay Devil Rays go to the World Series. I know you find it hard to believe that I am not a Red Sox fan (sarcasm). In fact, I am a fan of any team playing against a Boston team. In addition, I feel the same about New York teams (except for that last Super Bowl). Sure, both cities have won a lot of titles...blah, blah, blah. I remember it wasn't all that long ago that the beloved Patriots were a complete joke. The NBA Season is starting up and now I get to hear all about how awesome the Celtics are. Yawn.

To cheer myself up that the Rays didn't put Boston to bed when they had the chance and that the Dodgers are totally out, I thought I would link to past and current articles/blogs that feel the same way I do.

The headline of this article makes me smile.

I find it very amusing that people will actually pose the question of whether a team is good on Yahoo! Answers.

This thread is funny and sad at the same time.

This website title makes me smile even though they haven't updated it in a long time.

OOPS! There is actually more to this post - I had an issue with my connection and it already published part of it. How funny!

But yeah - the NBA season and NHL - so it is time for the sports coma!

You can't hate the Rangers. Hockey fans are all a little extreme. And I like being a NY fan actually the only NY team I follow is the Mets but still. Sometimes people wonder why NY fans boo their players so much. Its called Tough Love or We hate you, play better. Its a thin line you know.

Let me just clarify as I should have at the start of the post - As a Los Angeles native and resident, I want coverage of MY teams in MY local area.

Oh, and we boo out players here in Los Angeles also - just ask Andruw Jones.

blame it on the monopoly that is ESPN. A co-worker is always complaining how they favor OSU and they do. They also overkilled RedSox/Yankees series. Its not right that their series gms could be the Sunday and Monday night games. If I ever won the Lotto I'd start up a cable sports network.
Let's play a game teams ESPN favors
OSU, Norte Dame, and Sryacruse. I could continue but I'll stop at three. And they need to stop giving Manning and Dungy a pass.

Oh yeah, ESPN is 98% to blame! That is a whole other point also - the Pac 10 gets NO love and they do think OSU is the greatest thing since sliced bread!

And yes, they need to stop with the favors/passes. Let's cover the ENTIRE sports world, not just one area if you claim to be a National network.

I definitely agree, although there are New York teams I don't mind - The Jets, The Mets - maybe it is a three-letter thing.

But Boston! Ugh - home of the Patriots, 'nuff said.

Yeah, I actually don't mind the Jets or Mets either.

Ugh is right!
