Sunday Sports Wrap - September 14, 2008
Here we are in Week 2 of the NFL season...hopefully I can redeem myself in Fantasy Football this week. Other than football, there are many other sporting events going on. In fact, this handy guide tells you what is nationally televised today.
MLB: The Dodgers start Greg Maddux today against the Rockies and hope to stay on top in the NL West. I just can't get too excited yet...
The Rays play the Yankees again while the Red Sox host the Blue Jays. Go Rays, boo Sox.
Golf: Plenty of PGA and LPGA today as usual for this time of year. Check the Golf Channel and my previous link for nationally televised events for the details.
Today in Sports History
1868 - Golf's first recorded hole-in-one accomplished by Old Tom Morris at Prestwick's 8th hole
1990 - Ken Griffey and his son hit back-to-back homers in the first inning of the Seattle Mariners' 7-5 loss to the California Angels. The unprecedented father-and-son homers came off of Kirk McCaskill.

I had a bad sunday. My baseball team leads the division but they lost it in the ninth, and now the lead is down to 1gm. The Colts looked awful and the Chargers the team I picked to go to the SuperBowl are 0-2, but that Broncos Chargers game was great
I can't believe that Chargers game! Don't write the season off yet - the Giants started 0-2 last year.
The Eagles Cowboys game should be good tonight but I may be tempted to watch it on mute. The MNF announcer's are awful.
That will be a great game! And yes, the MNF announcers are a drag...I miss Al and John - they seem so odd on Sunday!
I can't believe we're already that far into the NFL season. It's kind of depressing around here cuz that means the cold is coming.
Bummer - me too...sort of...except my cold isn't as cold...the good news is that its almost time to start snowboarding!!!!
